GDP!!!!!!

https://www.bea.gov/news/2026/gdp-advan … arter-2026

Real gross domestic product (GDP) increased at an annual rate of 3.4 percent in the third quarter of 2026 (July, August, and September), according to the advance estimate released today by the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA). In the second quarter, real GDP increased 2.2 percent.

The contributors to the increase in real GDP in the third quarter were increases in investment, consumer spending, and government spending that were partly offset by a decrease in exports. Imports, which are a subtraction in the calculation of GDP, increased. For more information, refer to the "Technical Notes" below.

Re: GDP (Advance Estimate), 3rd Quarter 2026

WASHINGTON—The U.S. national debt reached 100% of gross domestic product for the fiscal year that ended Sept. 30, hitting the triple-digit mark for the first time since 1946.

The federal government had previously reported that the publicly held debt as of Sept. 30 was $32.2 trillion. With the release of economic output for third quarter Thursday, that figure equaled 100% (100.03%, to be exact), of gross domestic product over the fiscal year.

That was up from 99.4% at the end of fiscal 2025, though below the Congressional Budget Office’s February forecast of 100.6%. The U.S. is moving steadily closer to breaking the 1946 record of 106%, an increase that reflected the heavy borrowing needed to win World War II.

Social Security is projected to reach insolvency in 2032, triggering automatic benefit cuts unless Congress acts. Net interest costs, the most immovable object in the budget, are projected to climb by more than 1% of GDP over the next decade, according to CBO.

Re: GDP (Advance Estimate), 3rd Quarter 2026

Remember when the economy grew in 2023 and 2024 and Baggers squealed and howled and wailed about the debt and inflation (from a year prior) and called the numbers fake, and then went and fired all the competent people and put out numbers which are laughably skewed and biased and got mad when you refused to go along with their lies and propaganda?

Good timbes.

I've stopped caring about inflation. Now I only care if stocks go up.
