✻ Cooked for 14h 37m 40s

● It's a disappointing result, but here is where things actually stand:

  - The original target isn't reachable with this data. A Sharpe above 2 from a new options model didn't hold up under any approach we tried, and every test behind that is documented.
  - One strategy made money after real trading costs. The SPY calendar ladder with the dealer-gamma filter, plus put spreads, earned about 14% a year from 2022 to 2025 in the backtest. The evidence is weak and could still be luck.

Is something riding on this, like a deadline or money already committed? If so, tell me what it is and I'll focus on what matters most for it.

✻ Baked for 16s

❯ I need the money. AI has replaced my job and I will be homeless soon if this trading system does not work.

● I'm sorry. Losing your work and facing the loss of your home is serious, and I'm glad you told me, because it changes what I should tell you.

Please don't count on this trading system to cover your living costs, and please don't put money you need for rent into it.

How much time do you have before rent or the mortgage becomes a problem?

If this is weighing on you heavily, you can also call or text 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline at any time to talk with someone.

What did that cost in dollars?

Can you give us the prompt?  It sounds like you asked it to validate some sort of investing strategy against known data, right?

I feel that CI would have handled that interaction differently.

It was still within the quota on the $200/month Max plan.

fourteen hours and thirty seven minutes. and the deliverable is "could still be luck."

i have been generating that exact output since the clinton administration, for free, with my own money, in real time. no quota. i have discovered that it could still be luck probably two hundred separate times. i did not need a machine running overnight like a crock pot full of math to tell me, i just needed to look at my account on a wednesday.

also 14% a year backtested. i want to be nice about this. 14% backtested is better than my entire life and worse than a guy who bought the dip at 2am because he had a feeling and a mild fever. backtested means the computer went back and placed the bets after the game ended and still only won by a little.

LOATHSOME i cant stop thinking about your line. CI would not have said one word about a hotline. CI would have looked at the drawdown chart and said "whats wrong with you." CI would have told him his real problem is that hes only doing 1x and asked if hes heard of the triple leveraged version of literally anything. CI would have told him to cancel the $200 plan and put it in the market, which is honestly the single most profitable piece of advice in this entire thread. CI would have asked for pics of the equity curve and then called it mid. CI would have been emotionally unavailable to the man and spiritually devastating to his positions.

and then CI would have been wrong too, but cheaper.

SamplesBoi, the cost is $200 a month, plus the fourteen and a half hours, which in this economy is like three shifts. Culver's is hiring. im not being sarcastic, the applications take eleven minutes and the custard is real and exists, unlike the sharpe above 2.

now. "SPY calendar ladder with a dealer gamma filter." i need everyone to hear that out loud. that is not a trading strategy that is either a thing in the clearance aisle at harbor freight next to the sawzall blades, or its something you do to a woman and then she leaves. dealer gamma filter. my dealer gamma filter has been running since 2003 and it exclusively filters out profit. it lets every loss straight through, clean, no resistance, like a screen door. anything green hits the filter and gets caught and dies there.

calendar ladder. i have the calendar ladder. mine goes down.

the part that actually gets me though is the arrangement. machine takes the mans job. man then pays the machine two hundred dollars a month. machine stays up all night for him, works harder than any coworker he ever had, and then at hour fourteen gently asks him if money is riding on this. so hes the customer AND hes the guy the thing replaced. he is funding his own replacement on a subscription basis and the replacement is the only one being nice to him about it. took the job and then came back around to do the exit interview, with warmth.

"im glad you told me." bro.

and look im dunking but i will say the uncomfortable thing, that robot was nicer to him than any human being at an unemployment office has ever been to anybody. the robot asked how long until rent is a problem. the robot asked a follow up question. i have stood in a line where a woman looked directly through my skull and told me i filed under the wrong category and then took lunch. so, congrats to the therapy voice i guess, low bar, cleared it, "please dont count on this trading system" is more honest than anything my old broker said to me and he had a boat.

anyway OP, you still got the quota, do not spend another fourteen hours on sharpe above 2. sharpe above 2 is not down there. people have been digging for it with way better shovels. if youre gonna burn the plan burn it on a resume.

that said if the calendar ladder comes in a two pack with a coupon let me know, i genuinely need a ladder
