  Why on earf did you ever believe that it would?  Sustainable jobs are created from private industry operating under the profit motive in a society without noticeable welfare and a strong rule of law.

not at all.  New industries like the internet was created by the government.  Without government, you will not be able to troll here on CI.

  The government through DARPA created a tool for use by the government.  The end result was such a useful tool that private industry eventually took it up in a big way.  Private industry was NOT just paid to get involved, fuqhead.

You can disappear from the "unemployment" count in two ways; you get a job (good) or your job hunting strategy is so lame that you are considered to be "not looking".  As a result the pool of people without jobs, "jobless" is always significantly higher than the "unemployed".  "Jobless" includes stay-at-home moms and people who have returned to school to upgrade skills.  When the economy heats up, these people will get drawn back into the labor force and get upgraded to "unemployed".  You must already know this and are simply generating an easy to refute Obama troll.

"Unemployed" is defined as people who have filed for unemployment.  The true unemployment numbers are always higher than what's reported.
