Tomato season is OVER, and it's time to disconnect and drain your outdoor hoses.   You leave them full of water and you can earn some serious plumbing problems.   The crews will soon be here to shut down the irrigation system and blow out the water in the underground pipes.

Our pineapple  plant is now cleaned up, watered, fed and is in it's winter home inside our bedroom.   It had a good summer!

I shut down my sprinklers a week ago.  The weather forecast was for rain and I saved $10 on watering.

Yeah.   Here, they shut down the sprinklers and then use mobile air compressors to blow the water out of the underground pipes and valves.   It's the way it is here.   At Lake Tahoe it gets much colder, but the valves are above ground and drain when the supply is shut off.   No blow out necessary.   Local stuff.

The outdoor fireplace didn't fire right up, so I have a project to investigate and correct whatever isn't working correctly.   The wife is out of town for a few days (another mission to do good) and I have a few projects.
