Because Medicare and its side plans are for the elderly.
What people want, but will probably get tricked into asking for “Medicare for all,” as we are already using the wrong terminology, is Medicaid for all.
Specifically, expanded Medicaid for all. A sliding-scale health plan that prohibits back billing, where for some it will be free, for others some low cost sharing, and other fees less but in the same way they're used to, based on having above-average income.
That's what people want.
Ps. Expanded medicaid is not the same as medicaid for disability. They have different requirement and limitations.

Or doctors, including foerign ones with questonable credentials would have to work for a wage like everyone else, and like they do in other countries.
What you pay in co pay and deductable is what things actually cost. The rest is profit.

Wife and I are on Medicare and we each pay $202.90 every month for Medicare Part B.
For Medicare Plan G we each pay $290.00 monthly then another $91.00 every month for our pharmacy Medicare.
Yep, stupid assholes like yourself stupidly believe Medicare is free yet my wife and I each pay $583.00 a month totaling $1,166 every month as a couple.
