interesting situation

the captain had much less experience flying that particular aircraft than the copilot

but the captain had more overall flying experience

in the cockpit recording, there is someone's voice warning that the plane was coming in too fast or too high (they haven't said which pilot gave the warning)

it wouldn't surprise me if the copilot had tried to warn the captain, and the captain ignored him because he felt like he had more experience
