The real estate company Related Ross has officially bought the Boca Raton Innovation Campus, a 124-acre office park that used to house IBM operations decades ago, top executives confirmed Thursday.

The sprawling office park sits at 5000 T-Rex Ave., between Yamato Road and Spanish River Boulevard.

Related Ross declined to say exactly how much was paid for the property. The company did say it received nearly $300 million in financing from Ares Real Estate, a global investment company.

When CP Group, a commercial real estate and management firm, bought BRiC in 2018, the company paid $179 million. In the years that followed, CP Group put forth plans to turn BRiC into a modern, mixed-use “micro city” with residences, restaurants and more.

Related Ross “will continue operating BRiC as an office and technology campus while advancing a long-term vision for the property,” according to the company’s statement.

D-Wave Quantum, a computing company, recently selected BRiC for its new corporate headquarters, transitioning from Palo Alto, California. Other companies at BRiC include Brainlabs, a media agency, and Mod Med, a software company.

The facility also features art exhibits, coffee shops and sculptures. People have gotten married there, churches have held services there, and every Sunday, the Boca Farmers Market convenes.
