You two should agree that at Midnight tonight central time both of you will no longer refer to each other by name, location, photo, anything like that.  No hinting, no talking about "a certain person's weight" or "a certain person who inherited..." etc.  Absolutely nothing. Just leave each other alone.  No talking about grills, train tracks, etc or  anything like that subtly intended to mock or slight the other person, their family, position, or home, etc.

And if Spanky has to do any mod activities against Tom or talk to him, just let Phil handle it unless it is an emergency.

I think you'd both be a lot better off for it. 

So what do you say?  Midnight tonight central time....agree?

He is a very bad person. It is not an honest disagreement between two good people. It's a fatal character flaw in Tom which I tolerated in large part for many year, and which I refused to tolerate after he doubled-down on his hateful ways even as he faced his own mortality over the last few years.
