Saudi Arabia stirred up the Houthis, now they’re getting their fuqing asses kicked.

CAIRO (AP) — The Iranian-backed Houthi rebel group in Yemen launched a wave of attacks on Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, wounding more than 70 people and igniting fires at oil facilities and utilities in the kingdom, authorities said.

The attack was a major escalation in renewed fighting between an important U.S. ally and the Iranian proxy group. It also threatened to further destabilize a region rocked by nearly three years of wars and deliver a new blow to the global economy.

Weeks of clashes have added pressure to limited global oil supplies as the Houthis target a shipping route Saudi Arabia has used to transport oil to world markets while the Strait of Hormuz is throttled due to the U.S.-Iran war. Tuesday’s attacks hit Saudi oil facilities connected to an alternative route, the Bab el-Mandeb, a strategic waterway off the southern tip of the Arabian Peninsula that connects the Red Sea to the Gulf of Aden.

In hindsight, I probably should not have listened to the Saudis on Iran strategy as much as I did

Wrong and Wrong.  The Houthis/Saudi conflict can be traced back as far as 2004 but the latest conflict started when the Houthis (proxy of Iran) started attacking Saudi Arabia interests, supposedly to get at Israel/USA. Bringing in the Saudis was a grave mistake on their part since the Kingdom is handing them their ass.

Try pulling your tongue out of Trump’s ass for a minute and seeing the world as it really is.

Why does that look like 666 pounds of worthless Bartlett?   Because it is.

Looks like the Yemeni Republic started it.  This looks to be the US activating their Yemeni and Saudi Allies in eradicating the Houthis.

Hopefully, they are able to get the job done.  I have my doubts though, Arab armies are notoriously shyt.

Silly little incel. I never let my emotions or political views effect my opinions. While Al Jazeera is questionable on reporting regarding Israel, they are usually spot on on intra-Arab conflicts. I follow it closely because it impacts my job. So far Houthis hasn't been effective on damaging any of Saudi Arabia's oil facilities to any great deal but the Kingdom has put a hurting on the Houthi. Today they launched an all out attack:

On Tuesday, September 8, 2026, Iran-backed Houthi forces launched a massive drone and missile barrage hitting four southwestern Saudi cities, wounding at least 73 people and setting several Saudi Aramco oil facilities ablaze. This marks the heaviest tit-for-tat violence since the original 2015 intervention, threatening global energy markets and vital maritime corridors.

But I would challenge you to watch Saudi's oil production. I would be willing to bet it doesn't drop in any significant way as it didn't during the Saudi/Houthi conflict of 2016.
