It worked out.   The current washer on property is nearing the end of it's life, but not so any guest would notice.   SO, the guests on site will be treated to a new clothes washer, not suspecting that it's needed.   Just the owner pampering his guests.    I found an EVEN HEAVIER DUTY one than the one I picked out, so it will last EVEN LONGER than the current one.

This thinking is why my vacation rental business is so prosperous.

Good, bad or indifferent?  Doesn't really matter, GE Profile has been very good to me over the years.

All of them lasted at least 16 years. The washer and dryer lasted 18. The fridge lasted 19. Stovetop, oven, and microwave are still going at 21 years.

Replacement dishwasher is on year 5 with no issue. Replacement fridge on year 2 with no issue. Replacement dryer on year 3 with no issue.

Replacement washer is on year 3 with no issue - BUT!!! - we did have an issue with the washer on day one. We actually had three units delivered in about as many days. The first one failed to lock reliably which triggered an interlock failure that would prevent the load from starting. The second one had an odd mechanical noise that we did not like so we asked for a replacement. It came in and out on the same day. The third unit is here and has had no issues for three years now.

I have heard that GE Profile quality has gone down but so far we have been happy with the replacement units. Whether they last 16+ years like all of the other appliances, we don't know yet.

Yeah the GE profile is what I'm looking for to until I discover that the quality has gone down.  That hasn't happened yet.
