The US Military Is Preparing For A Draft

Last month, the Selective Service System (SSS) quietly posted a listing for contractors to help wargame a potential scenario where young Americans are mobilized against their will. The solicitation coincides with a new law set to go into effect this December that will automatically register all men aged 18 to 26 within US borders (including illegal aliens) into the SSS by utilizing a cross-section of unspecified federal databases.

These updates have taken on a new meaning in light of the ongoing Iran war, which has exposed the limitation of American air power and missile strike ability in accomplishing the goal of regime change. The wars in Ukraine and Iran have drained the US of difficult to replace defensive and offensive missiles while bases in the Persian Gulf are being obliterated by Iranian missile and drone attacks, leaving few options on the table for muscling the Strait of Hormuz out of Iranian hands outside of either diplomatic recognition of the new status quo (which is not an option for the Israelis or their lackeys in Washington) or escalation with ground troops that could interrupt Iranian oil shipments and clear out coastal defense systems so planes can use cheap and plentiful glide bombs. A third disquieting option, which is to deploy tactical nukes, also appears to be on the table.

A number of sources have sought to downplay fears that the Iran war will lead to a draft, but the Trump administration itself has gone out of its way to not rule it out. Internal documents from the SSS suggest that the Trump regime has in fact been secretly planning for situations like the current one since before the war began.

In one SSS exercise held in December 2025, released only in part under the Freedom of Information Act, a hypothetical situation similar to the current Hormuz predicament, where an enemy nation shuts down a major trade route through force and the US military is unable to break the blockade with air and naval power alone, is presented.

Under these circumstances, the document concludes, the president and congress will have no choice but to activate SSS and force Americans into the military in hopes of waging a full war. The study expresses fears of public backlash and strategies for handling it, such as having information officers of the SSS take to television news shows.

Under the worst-case scenario, SSS operatives expect to battle with massive anti-war protests, terrorist attacks, and other forms of civilian resistance — things we have seen take place in other countries with forced mobilization, like Ukraine, which has also served as a NATO laboratory for new technologies and social engineering.

How exactly the SSS plans to both automatically register all American men while respecting privacy laws is being kept deliberately opaque. The most likely solution will be to ignore data privacy laws, which have been made obsolete by many modern information collection techniques, and utilize A.I. capabilities provided by companies such as Palantir, who in their manifesto have recently endorsed universal military conscription in the United States. Some Ukrainian bloggers have speculated that their country’s controversial and draconian press-ganging system relies on novel and experimental Palantir software to track down military aged Ukrainian men in hiding, who once identified are kidnapped and whisked away to the frontline in buses. If true, Palantir could be going into a new American draft with plenty of experience under their belt.

So far the most in-depth publicly released guide on how to execute a military draft in America was published in 2024 by the Center For A New American Security (CNAS). The think-tank calls on Congress and the Department of War to close down any legal loopholes, develop propaganda strategies to calm the public, make registration automatic rather than strongly encouraged, sharply narrow exemptions and deferments, and make it a lot more difficult for individuals to claim conscientious objector status. If CNAS’ recommendations are fully applied — and some of its suggestions have been implemented since they were written — the new draft will be significantly more repressive than what occurred during the Vietnam war.

At the moment, this may seem far-fetched. But as the devastating effects of the closure of the Strait of Hormuz begin to bite this fall and winter, surging gas and food prices along with a stagnant economy may induce sufficient panic in both the Trump regime and the American population to cause drastic measures to be taken.

Lastly, ongoing American pressure on Europe to institute their own unpopular drafts, will naturally lead to expectations that the US lead by example. Counter-intuitively, the more technologically sophisticated warfare gets, the higher the demand for more technical experts as well as ground troops to replenish the new normal of massive casualties.

Beyond Iran, the 1.3 million current active duty servicemen will not be nearly enough to wage wars against Russia or China in case of challenges to Washington’s imperial power in Pacific or Eastern Europe. As neo-conservative draft advocates have noted, the relative walk in the park that was the 1991 Persian Gulf War alone required half a million US troops. Americans have never wanted the empire, but Zionist elites may force us to die for it anyway.
