Iran has claimed a deal with Oman to fully open up shipping through the Strait of Hormuz is on the brink of being agreed, with negotiations now in their “final stages”. The proposed deal would give Tehran control over ships entering the Gulf through the Strait of Hormuz, a senior Iranian source and two regional officials told Reuters, in one of the biggest concessions yet to Iran.
But the regime warned its neighbors in the Gulf that any fresh US attack would trigger a retaliation against critical energy infrastructure across the region.
