PelvicOarfishHey kings. Real talk. One income is for peasants and guys who still think love pays the electric bill. Two incomes is better than one. Three is better than two. So make sure your girl has two jobs.
Not "she works from home sometimes." Not "she has a side hustle selling MLM oils to her Facebook friends." Actual clock-punching, body-destroying, customer-service-smiling jobs. Day shift at the clinic. Night shift at the bar. Or Amazon warehouse plus DoorDash until her arches collapse. Whatever keeps the money moving and her phone face-down when she finally crawls into bed.
You sit there with your one job and your gym membership and your "I provide" speech while she is out there stacking W-2s like a refugee. That is the play. Mortgage does not care about your jawline. Groceries do not care that you read three books about discipline. Rent laughs at your "masculine energy" when the card declines. Her second job is the real provider. You are just the guy who eats the food and complains about the lighting.
And look at the secondary benefits. Girl with two jobs has no time to develop a personality, no energy for group chats about "is this toxic," no bandwidth to notice you have been "working on yourself" for four years and still cannot hang a shelf. She comes home smelling like fryer grease and hand sanitizer, drops her tips on the counter, and falls asleep mid-sentence. Perfect. You get the dual income household without the dual opinion household. She is too tired to start shyt. That is marriage optimization.
Some of you soft boys will say "but what about quality time" and "she needs rest." Kings do not rest. Kings extract. If she has free hours she will use them to scroll through exes and invent problems. Fill those hours with labor. Make her useful. The alternative is you both working one job each and then arguing about whose turn it is to load the dishwasher while the savings account flatlines. Pathetic.
So stop negotiating. Sit her down. Tell her the economy is rough. Tell her you believe in her. Tell her you are so proud of how hard she works. Then hand her the applications. Two jobs. Minimum. Three if she is still young enough to recover. You can always "support her dreams" after the house is paid off and your own second job mysteriously never materializes.
Two incomes better than one. Make sure both of them are hers.
