I am. Truly. Every morning I wake up hard with gratitude that a studio apartment costs more than my dad's first house, that my phone has better graphics than 90s NASA and the only thing it delivers is ads for antidepressants and pussy I will never touch. Abundance. My fridge is full of food engineered to keep me soft and slightly diabetic so I can feel luxurious while my testosterone flatlines into plant-estrogen soup. Joy.

Optimistic about the future? Fuq yes. Looking forward to paying 40% of my income so someone who got here last Tuesday can live better than my grandparents did after thirty years of actual work. Excited for the part where every institution that used to work is now staffed by people who treat competence like a hate crime. Thrilled that "software engineer" means typing into a box until the company finds a cheaper box in Bangalore. Real engineers have licenses. The rest of us are priests of a dying church with free snacks.

The golden age hits different when half the women your age are on SSRIs and the other half only date men who look like they could kill them. Hits different when you realize the people running the show think 70 IQ populations will produce the same high-trust society if we just give them more free housing and lower standards. Hits different when every product you buy is a little worse than last year and costs more, and the solution is always "just innovate harder, bro."

I am overflowing. Overflowing with the knowledge that if I stop grinding for one second the entire lifestyle evaporates and I get to compete with infinite supply of labor that will work for rice and a phone. Overflowing with the feeling that every time someone says "this is the best time to be alive" they are selling something, usually themselves.

So yeah. Golden age. Peak civilization. Peak vibes. Peak everything.
