Vitimins and things like Tumeric may help a little - but not when your diet consists of Taco Bell and Dunkin Donuts and your exercise routine is dropping logs in the shower and heel stomping them down the drain.

Have you ever seen an inflamed Indian? Turmeric must be responsible.
I had read that n parts of the world where turmeric is consumed often, digestive cancers are rare,

I had to look up my own claim. They aren't rare, slightly less, with cause and effect not exactly established.
Other than by research:

Doesn't matter. Health people don't do a lot of research. They just stick to the plan and will not encourage supplement use to protect themselves from legal issues.
They have a tight grip on health and are intent on making you pay for it.

Exactly, it's like taking dating advice from one of the old CI incels.

If you also don't have those accreditation, then how do you know? It's not b/w that yo either know things or you don't. Factual knowledge is real knowledge regardless of credential.

Every nursing home I've been to gives a daily multivitamin to their patients.

I'm not a 787 pilot either. But I know I can't fly a 787.
It's called being self-aware and knowing your limitations.

You are experiencing a placebo effect.
Turmeric has shown POSSIBLE anti-inflammatory properties. But they are LONG TERM properties after taking it for weeks or months and it is at a systemic level not in any particular part of the body.
Ibuprofen has shown ABSOLUTE anti-inflammatory properties. And it works in ACUTE situations.
If you knees hurt today and you take turmeric tonight, your knees CAN NOT POSSIBLY feel better tomorrow.
Taco Bell gives me a placebo effect. Just not one I want.

Meh. I'm at Disney. If I believe my phone, I'm walking 6 miles per day. I was riding 25 miles per day on my bike just before I left for The Mouse Trap.

This is true, but people in nursing homes lack ADLs, so they are often not able to eat
enough nutrients, and their guy has a harder time absorbing them. So vitamins do make
sense for them.

They have specialised multis for senior women or men.
I just make coffee with fortified milk for Vitamin D. And yard work this time of year.

These jokes don't help - the daily struggle can be very real

This is CI - if a poster is at Disney, chances are good he's there alone since he's never had kids (or had sex period).
