During Trumps time we exported oil for the first time in decades.   Biden now has us dependent on OPEC again and is selling off our saved oil to be used in case of a shock or war.  You can't deny that.

Once again, he is required by law to sell some of the SPR.

Its sold via a bidding process. He isn't choosing to sell it to some other nation, they are bidding on it and willing to pay us for it. He is not giving to them, they are paying for it.

Shale drilling in the US went thru the fuqing roof 2010-2014 with over 2,000 active drilling rigs due to $100+ WTI. 

All those new wells started producing, oil prices cratered to $35 WTI, shale investors lost hundreds of billions of dollars and drilling stopped so by early 2020 (before Covid) there were only 200 active rigs in North America.

During the period you mentioned, Russia and OPEC both increased production to drive down the price of oil and put those shale companies out of business. Now we can see that they're fuqing with us again. A smart president would subsidize the shale industry to make sure the US maintains its energy independence. Biden will never do that.
