Well, that was a brutal ending.
Team USA's World Cup run came to an emphatic close Monday night in a 4-1 loss to Belgium. But the lasting image wasn't the scoreline. It was Romelu Lukaku breaking out the Trump dance after Belgium's fourth goal.

I suggested before the game the best thing to happen for all is for US to lose the match fair & square & be done with it.
The un-suspension was always going to be suspect and any win tainted, soccer isn’t that important in the US, just take the L and let the euros have their jollies

Seems like soccer fans, even liberals who hate the US, think the ref made a bad call and the foul did not warrant a suspension. Refs make mistakes and their decisions get reversed (but usually not in World Cup games).

Name a single American football game where a penalty was reversed AFTER the game due to a call to the NFL commissioner from the POTUS.
