At work we used to yse the fairly common analogy of “mixing apples and oranges” when referring to people mixing inappropriate items into something. That evolved into calling it ffuit salad ehrn someone fuqed up badly, eg “Now you’ve got nothing but fruit salad.”

Anybuddy else use this in a technicsl sense?
