Donald Trump has dismissed Iranian media reports on an imminent deal with the US as “fake news”, saying they were not the terms Washington agreed to.

There are two different pools of money.  The first is $24B of Iran’s money frozen in Western banks.  The second is a $300B “Redevelopment Investment Fund” which could only come from the U.S. taxpayers.

It’s called “investment” because that’s more palatable than “reparations”.
