President Donald Trump told Axios on Saturday that he would meet with his negotiators later in the day to discuss Iran's latest offer to end the war and likely decide by Sunday whether to resume military strikes against the country.

Trump indicated that there is a "solid 50/50" chance of making a “good” deal or else "blow them to kingdom come."

The President added that he would meet with his special envoy, Steve Witkoff, and son-in-law Jared Kushner later on Saturday to review Tehran's latest proposal in a discussion Vice President Vance is also expected to join.

"I think one of two things will happen: either I hit them harder than they have ever been hit, or we are going to sign a deal that is good," he added.
