There is nothing Trump can do to open the Strait. Iran has him by the balls

Either you give-in to Iran's demands and pack up and GTFO the Persian Gulf and the Strait

Or you go all-in with troops in an attempt to depose the leadership and open the Strait by force

The latter will cost Trumpy thousands, if not tens of thousands of casualties, which he dreads
