Never tip.
Make the business owner pay a decent wage.
Join a union.

It takes the person the same amount of effort to do the delivery. Why are you screwing over the Starbucks delivery person??

My logic is delivery is premium service and tip is relevant to the total bill not the delivery itself.

For those same deliveries I'd tip $1/$5, and never a "percent of the sale".

That’s not true. Starbucks is less effort for a number of reasons. In any case, I will up the on occasion if I complexify the order.

There are several factors that go into my tip decision:

- distance
- weather
- order size
- restaurant type (it’s harder to pickup a “sit down” restaurant than a place with a drive through)

I tip.
Not a portion of the value of the bill.
I tip as gratuity.
I tip the value of the service provided.
No smile; fuqed up my order; made me wait... good luck!

I must say, I haven't been to a Starbucks in some time.   Not because of anything other than I'm not the "go out to coffee" type kind of  guy.   If a friends wants to have a coffee, fine.  Let's go.

Plus, here in wonderful Idaho, we have several store chains that are all good.  Human Bean.  Dutch Bros.  Cup "O" Joe.

I don't think being a coffee cup server is intended to be a lifetime job.   Except in a Communist Country.   There, you had better be good or you'll never be seen again.

Tom, isn’t “ you had better be good or you'll never be seen again” what you want for America? Haven’t you repeatedly called for people who criticize Trump to be imprisoned, without trial, in abandoned missile silos?

I know, it's mean to point this out to the mentally defective, but he keeps forgetting:   I do not answer the questions from our 666 pounder with the brain of a pudding pop.
