Anchovy_P_Imbalanceswhy would you even consider eating a "Dorito"?

You see this all over, using "inflation" as an excuse to raise prices.

I’m not a huge fan of chips in general, but on occasion some Doritos are pretty good.

anon user #3What we really need is a huge consumer organization to go after companies doing this and boycott them. Not only until they lower prices again but for years after that as a punishment. There need to be consequences for this sort of thing not just "Oh, hey, we're really sorry. We made a billion dollars ripping off the public but now we will play nice."
Either that or the government going after them. Biden tried but Trump's SCOTUS ruled everything illegal unless it hurts the working class. Anything which helps the working class is a violation of some billionaire's "property rights."

That sounds like it would cost more than price inflated chips.

Not really. Just a organization which keeps track of this bullshyt, has a website maybe sends out emails and newsletters. People who are part of the organization agree to honor the boycotts. If it got critical mass (> 10 million members) it could start to be effective and not only punish these companies but also put some fear into other companies considering doing the same thing.

Ask Bud Light or Target for some consumer guidance.

Bagger states will make boycotts illegal.

Inflation is caused by one thing and one thing only -- corporate greed. If businesses don't raise prices then there is no inflation. But they want more money. No amount of money is ever enough.
So they raise prices, which causes inflation, then they use that inflation as an excuse to raise prices even more, which causes even more inflation.
