I can understand the US not sinking ships in the Strait of Hormuz. What's not as clear is why the Iranian oil infrastructure is still intact.

Because if such is destroyed the Iranians will level Audi Arabia's refineries and all related infrastructure without mercy
The world would then be in an unrecoverable fuqing mess
That is why SA is staying out of this fight and the US is also probably advising them to stay the fuq out
