Seems like a lot for what you get. I might get an inverter and a few car batteries to run in parallel to charge up and then kick off the generator untitled the batteries drain significantly. Then you add solar to that as your primary trickle charge source.

Lead acid batteries aren't as cool as lithium ion but they also are unlikely to burn your house down.

I always think about the car battery thing. You could just stack them and feed them into the inverter - but you'd have to have some solid electrical design skills to make it work and test it.
