Seems like a lot of trouble if you have to make two of the ingredients yourself.

But that could make it good to bring to group event since most won't make it on their own.

Some of the specialty ingredients arrived today:

- Organic Cacao Butter
- Organic Cacao Nibs
- Whole Vanilla Beans

Yet to arrive:

- Gum Arabic Powder

Also need to pick up the booze:

- Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva Rum
- Diplomatico Rum Mantuano

It's too complicated and results in palette fatigue after one drink. Diplomatico is already very sweet and you're adding sweet and buttery mouthfeel stuff on top of it. I think it's a poorly designed drink.

I prefer a Swashbuckler, which shows off the rum, to that buttered abomination.

2 oz Mount Gay (Eclipse or XO both work but I prefer Eclipse)

¾ oz lime

½ oz grenadine

1 dash Angostura

Shake, strain into a cocktail glass.

THat's it. No faggoty shyt. Everyone will love it and you've just poured an authentic Prohibition-era drink.

No non-alcoholic woman will drink that. Only drunks or cocktail enthusiasts would drink that. I am not even knocking your cocktail, but that is not a party pleaser. Women don’t want a drink that “shows off the rum.”
