Their law is an expanded version of castle doctrine.
They have no duty to retreat in Indiana.
They only have to state fear for their life. They do not have to prove "fear"
Further, they only have to BELIEVE a felony is being committed and that shooting will stop it.
The very worst they will be facing is a reckless endangerment charge for firing blindly which is a class 3 misdemeanor in Indiana.
Class 3 misdemeanor in Indiana has a possible maximum of 364 days in jail and up to $5,000 fine.
