Tom LeykisThe smaller, older, solar powered safety light was due for replacement, so we got one of the newer, more powerful ones. I had written a review about it, and it is quite close to the power of the 110 volt ones.
It was windy but I got out the big ladder and got the job done.
Taking down the old system, I broke a feed wire. Nowadays, everything is replaced - not repaired - but I bucked the trend with a soldering iron and got it as good as new. That system is now lighting a walkway. Double win!
The wife made some tea for us to enjoy and then we will make some dinner. I even got in touch with a friend still in CA. He and his wife will all meet us in New Orleans, soon.
Powering up my legs for THAT adventure! The big ladder climbing sure helped!

Tom LeykisThe ladder was the challenge. For some time my legs were a little weaker than I wanted. Heavy physical therapy is having a profound effect. It was windy, but I got the fuq over that, too.

I remember the time I fell off a 28 foot extension ladder.
Fortunately I was only on the first rung.
Glad you haven't let your health problem beat you.

Tom LeykisThank you! Power UP!! Keeps me going. Having New Orleans (a big walking trip) as a near future destination is a powerful motivator.

Tom LeykisThe new, big light is working to perfection! It lights the front driveway up as if the fixture was wired into the mains, but only when it detects movement. The older fixture wasn't so sensitive, but it may be a bit TOO sensitive now. I turned it off for the night and will get the adjustment correct tomorrow.
Then, on to other projects - getting ready for spring growing, no doubt.

Back up the ladder old man because you didn’t let a professional do the job right first time.
And if you think climbing a ladder is going to get you fit for walking around NO then you’re going to end up discovering their health care system up close. Puff puff … timber!!!!

It is sad when the shut-in and angry hopeless lash out so. Such a waste of life. Try to do SOMETHING today.
