Phillip_McCavityAnd, under communism, the difference between rich and poor was extreme. Many people were very poor indeed (look at China until they embraced capitalism / market reforms). The gap between the rich and poor is almost infinite, look at the Soviet Union.
In the Middle Ages, before capitalism...the rulers feasted while the poor were largely ignored. Homeless back them? Nobody cared. Go be a nun or a laybrother. Can't deal with discipline? Too bad!
Capitalism has lifted billions out of poverty.
Communism? Dictatorships? Monarchy? Very poor record of helping the poor advance.

Can you explain a situation where you were rubbing your naked body against another man's open sores and it wasn't gay?
Phil? Phil?!?

And again I'll say the rebellion is against the capitalism of our personal social lives.
Which hasn't ever been a factor before, and social media has made possible.

anon user #3IF you like or prefer Capitalism then you had better help fix the problems with the current implementation of it or else live with the consequences.
Common sense: if a system results in suffering for a majority of people they are eventually going to seek to remove the system or at least change it in some way.
This isn't about politics or what I like, etc. It's about human nature.
Your move.

anon user #3Apply Maslow's hierarchy (or pyramid) of human needs to the issue. Things such as shelter and food are at the base of the hierarchy. If a system does not provide for these needs for a majority, change of some sort is pretty much inevitable. It's almost guaranteed.
