As someone left-of-center, I liked John Edwards message and was rooting for him in the early days, but his pitch grew repetitive and tiresome.  I have buried that past deep and compartmentalized the fact that I could have supported such a fuqing horrible scumbag.  I'm just happy he's disappeared.

Once you lose a major election, your party will NEVER run you again.  That's how the party system works.  They discard election-losers in the process of finding election-winners.

He is not going to matter in upcoming elections.
