This is the beginning! It has begun! Midwestern gas stations OUT OF FUEL!!!
Retailers in several cities and towns across the state told The World-Herald they were experiencing issues this week. Some of the affected towns include Crete, Seward, Eagle and Fremont. Customers also reported spot fuel outages in Omaha and surrounding areas.
Nebraska Gov. Jim Pillen issued an executive order that relaxes limits on the number of hours truckers delivering fuel from other states can drive before requiring rest through Nov. 18. It also allows weight limits to be exceeded by up to 10%.
Tim Keigher, executive director and lobbyist for the Nebraska Petroleum Marketers and Convenience Store Association, said stations that are out of fuel would "most likely not be out for any length of time,” he said.

Without fuel they were nothing. They built a house of straw. The thundering machines sputtered and stopped. Their leaders talked and talked and talked. But nothing could stem the avalanche. On the roads it was a white line nightmare. Only those mobile enough to scavenge, brutal enough to pillage would survive. The gangs took over the highways, ready to wage war for a tank of juice. And in this maelstrom of decay, ordinary men were battered and smashed.
Except for one man armed with an AK-47, and a Honda full of silver.
