The usual crowd, and there were more than a few of us. At the METRION on Mission Street. We all had our dinners. When I went outside, the crew of SFFD TRUCK 1 wanted to know where I got the cool SFFD tee shirt. It was from my new business venture, supplied by a well known Firefighter.
Of course, none of us had any idea what was going to happen in a few hours. The next day was duty at a backup communications assignment with the police department, but that's what we trained for. Those TV screens showed a lot more than your network TVs ever showed. I'll never forget it.
I think there was one more FCSF, but I didn't make it, it was sparsely attended and there was never another one.
