I first wrote assembly language when I was about 12. Think I was too young to get it.
The next time I was in my 30s. Was a little too old to get it.
I mean, I am sure I could write assembly now but it would be a pretty big mental lift.
Fortunately there is no need for 99% of developers to have to do that now.
