More and more evidence is coming to light.
Someone brought an infected animal to the Wuhan wet market in November 2019. The virus in the animal had recently mutated and started to jump
to other species. One of them were the humans in the market.
Where did the infected animal come from? Well, guano from a few hundred miles away contained viruses that had many characteristics in common
with SARS-COV-2.
Most recently, it was found by studying the mutations in the early strains of Covid that they developed inter-species transmission before they reached humans.
