Ruh roh… Faux News has Talarico increasing his lead over Paxton

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/fox-ne … enate-race

The GOP’s attempts to smear Talarico seem to be falling short.

“By a 12-point margin, more voters are concerned Paxton lacks the character to serve as a senator than believe Talarico is too extreme (59% vs. 47%).”

The usual uneducated human garbage is still supporting Paxton:

“ Paxton is the choice among White evangelical Christians, White men without a college degree, rural voters, regular worship attenders and voters ages 65 and older.

Cool, cool.

Reminder: polling showed Beto O'Rourke beating Ted Cruz too

Strangely, Cruz won.

It’s kinda funny, the Paxton people and the GOP keep trying these vile personal attacks against Talarico and the more voters see of it the more they conclude that Paxton and his ilk are fuqing sleazeball scumbags.

Re: Ruh roh… Faux News has Talarico increasing his lead over Paxton

Why it might not be enough

Democrats are suddenly dealing with complications in some friendlier states — namely, Maine and Michigan — and the new x-factor known as Sen. John Fetterman.

In Maine, Democrats were able to rid themselves of their Graham Platner problem. But it’s not yet clear how much better his replacement, former state Senate President Troy Jackson, will ultimately fare under the new spotlight.

A University of New Hampshire poll in mid-July put Jackson at 49% to GOP Sen. Susan Collins’ 46% among likely general election voters. But the same pollster once had Platner (prior to his bigger controversies) leading by between 9 and 11 points.

Michigan is Democrats’ more immediate concern, where they’re playing defense to hold onto a seat being vacated by retiring Sen. Gary Peters. There are major concerns among some establishment Democrats that Sen. Bernie Sanders-backed Abdul El-Sayed, who’s facing Rep. Haley Stevens in Tuesday’s Democratic primary, might jeopardize a purple state that Democrats would reasonably expect to win in a favorable year for their party.

(A case in point: Recent polls show Democratic candidates comfortably ahead — by around 10 points — in similarly situated swing states like Georgia and North Carolina.)

But perhaps the most unwelcome variable in this majority math might be Fetterman. The Pennsylvania senator, who has demonstrated a penchant for siding with Republicans and giving his party fits in recent months, has also increasingly flirted with switching parties.

Back in May, Fetterman wrote that he had “no plans to leave” the Democratic Party. But a couple weeks ago, he amended that posture by saying he would leave it if it adopts an anti-Israel posture — a topic causing significant strife within the party.

Democrats have been trending more against Israel, reflecting the views of their base, though it isn’t an “official” position, as Fetterman laid out. Still, given huge pressure from that base, the real question is how stringent a litmus test this is for the Pennsylvania senator.

That means Democrats could go into the November general election not even knowing how many seats they need to win. Do they need to flip four seats, including two red ones that Trump carried by significant margins, as they’d previously thought? Or do they need to actually win five and three, respectively?

Latest polls show the Texas governor race tied.

Maybe Texans have had enough of being ruled by corrupt, incompetent, pedo baggers.

AI Overview

Greg Abbott's polling history since taking office in 2015 generally shows him maintaining a stable approval rating and consistent leads over Democratic challengers across multiple election cycles. Tracking data from projects like the Texas Politics Project illustrate how his job approval and matchup numbers have fluctuated within distinct partisan margins

The only poll less than a month old shows Abbott ahead by 1%.

Those sexist, racist hicks in Texas that you and your kind are always whining about?

You think they will vote for a hispanic woman?

Because the polling says so?

Are you also aware that the polls are consistently wrong in Texas?

Like 8.5 - 9 % off even when the margin of error is listed at 2.5 % ?

------

AI Overview

Political pundits and analysts have forecasted a "blue wave" in Texas nearly every major election cycle for roughly two decades (frequently highlighting specific cycles like 2006, 2018, 2020, and 2026)

Do you never tire of being wrong?

None of the polls from 2022 taken after September were off by more than 5% and several were dead on.

Great. You are talking about the margin of error in the poll itself.

Now, try comparing the polls to the actual outcome.

Then, get back to me when you educate yourself so you dont look stupid.

If the polls say 2.5% moe --- why are the actual outcomes 9% ?

Because the polls do not match the outcome of elections *in Texas*

Are you really that stupid?

The link lists the ACTUAL OUTCOME and the POLLS.

6 out of 7 polls taken in OCTOBER 2022 were WITHIN THE MARGIN OF ERROR.

Fox News skews a little liberal.  What does Rasmussen say?

That expains the lack of a blue wave for the last 24 years.

Thanks! I was confused.
