My desktop was built for $2500 last year with that card, 128GB of memory, 8TB of SSD, and a 14700K which outperforms your newer processor for ordinary tasks.  Mine is slightly slower on massively parallel tasks.

Yeah, but this is just a desktop.

I have a full server infrastructure. In my server, I have an Ada generation with 20GB. Also have 75TB of storage.

I would have bought the 5060Ti, as it is usually available in this machine, but it wasn't in stock.

Macs do not compete with Windows machines. You are into one OS or the other.

Codex is now running the migration plan on the new machine.

This is the first time I have ever given Codex full administrative control over a machine.

While Codex continues to install on the new machine based on inventory of my old desktop, Codex is now collecting inventory on my dev machine. I will be merging my desktop and dev machines into a single machine.

Yes. I contacted them when I was searching out best pricing. When I bought it was $3300 they had it listed for $2000 and on backorder.

I called them up and they indicated the $2000 price was no longer valid and that the item had been on backorder for them since December. There was also one person already waiting for a backorder allocation. Obviously, I wasn't going to wait. It looks like based on my conversation they have updated the price to what it was two weeks ago.
