> A Country So Great the Haters Never Leave

Imagine a country so good at being a country that the people who spend every waking hour calling it a fascist hellscape, a white supremacist death cult, a late-stage capitalist meat grinder, and a settler-colonial crime scene still refuse to pack a single fuqing bag.

They will not leave. Not for the EU. Not for Canada. Not for the pure socialist paradise they jerk off to in theory. They stay. They breed here. They file taxes here. They collect the benefits here. They scream about the police from houses the police protect. They post about how America is uniquely evil from phones assembled under labor conditions they would call slavery if an American company did it in Ohio.

Every other failed place on earth, the haters leave. They risk rafts. They cross deserts. They pay coyotes. They show up at airports with one suitcase and a story. Here the haters dig in. They buy nicer apartments. They get better jobs. They send their kids to the same schools they claim are genocidal. Then they open a laptop and tell you the place that made their laptop possible is irredeemable.

That is the real flex. Not the military. Not the GDP. Not the free speech they abuse every single day. The flex is that the most online, most performative, most exhausted critics of the American experiment still treat American soil like the only real ground on the planet. Their passport is a theoretical object. Their "I'm moving to Portugal" is a personality trait, not a plan. Their hate is a lifestyle brand that only works if the country they hate keeps working.

You can call it cope. You can call it hypocrisy. You can call it Stockholm syndrome with better Wi-Fi. I call it market research. The product is so good the loudest people trying to cancel it still renew their subscription every year. They will die here. Their kids will die here. Their grandkids will inherit the same blue checkmark energy and the same refusal to go anywhere else.

A country that can keep its haters is doing something right. A country that makes leaving feel like a downgrade even to the people who claim to hate breathing the air is running a different game than the rest of the world. Everyone else has to convince people to stay. America has the opposite problem: it has to listen to people who will never leave tell it how much they want to leave.

They hate it so much they live here. They hate it so much they vote here. They hate it so much they will never, ever, not once, actually go. That is how you know it works.
