I am 100% supportive for wealthy countries to provide basic housing for their homeless citizens.

I am also 100% AGAINST calling this a "right" (mandatory obligation), because there may be a time when we can't afford to provide housing to the homeless.

This is similar to my view of friendship / altruism:  I did 100 favors in a row for someone.  They repeatedly thanked me, and told me that I'm such a "good friend".  But now that I've earned that "good friend" label, favor #101 was now seen as an obligation.  When I refused to do favor #101, they responded with a guilt trip, saying this is something "good friends" do for each other.  My position: A favor should NEVER be seen as an obligation.

Same applies to housing the homeless.  We should do it, because we can currently afford it.  But it should NEVER be seen as a "right", or mandatory obligation.

Honestly if we were rational we would react with violence towards people who want to withhold the basics of humanity from us and instead make it some sort of commodity.  Why?  Because actually you are already engaging in violence against us.

The majority of people no longer have enough resources to GUARANTEE that if their kids got some cancer that they could pay for it.  Why do we put up with this shyt?  It really is ridiculous.

How would you react if someone basically wanted to kill your kid?  It really is effectively the same thing.
