I've been hearing this shyt for decades, lived most of my adult life overseas, visited over 40 countries, worked in a dozen and have never ONCE encountered any issue due to my being American beyond some drunk ex-British soldier lightly teasing me for asking for a military discount (which I got) in a British Army museum.
