You’d have thought the Pentagon might have fuqing learned something from the Russia-Ukraine war and not parked that shyt out in the open within enemy drone range but you’d be wrong.

Apparently Christian Nationalist warriors are a little bit slow on the uptake.

Basically we are playing Iran's game.  If Trump was going to do this he should have ended it quickly and decisively.

Israel’s goal isn’t for the U.S. to end the war.  Israel’s goal is that the U.S. conflict with Iran stretch on for decades.

We're going to need a better news source than "Babak Taghvaee"

No.  Twitter is simply a platform.  Some twitter accounts are reliable, and others are not.

My disclaimer accounts for that.

Glad you agree with it.

Twitter is a reliable enough news source for the entire mainstream media to exploit for developing stories.

Yet, you don't have the same disclaimer for reddit links.

So the mainstream media, which you say lies all the time, uses X, which you say tells the truth.

Do you even hear your own insanity?

The media lies have to start from somewhere.

No one said 'x tells the truth'. It's more credible than major media, but like anything else on the internet, sure, there are a lot of liars.

The modfilth 'disclaimer' bullshyt would be on every fuqing post if they had any integrity at all about their idiocy. Clearly they don't, and want to portray reality as something other than what it actually is. Typical of treasoncrat vermin.

You dishonest hypocrite scumbag fraud.

If you were CNN or The NY Times, why not use Elon's FREE feed for breaking stories?

How many working USAF 707s are left mothballed in Arizona?

facepalm

There’s about three years work and $500 million dollars worth of updates, sensors and technology to turn a clapped out 707 into an E-3 Sentry

500 million?  Peanuts for the DoW.

A 707 is better engineered than Boeing's current commercial offerings.

Re: Bummer… looks like a billion dollars worth of E-3 Sentrys and KC-135s got blown the fuq up last night

VP_Spiro is right about the replacement cost. Each E-3 Sentry costs north of 500M to build from scratch, and the tooling to make new ones literally doesn't exist anymore. Boeing ended 707 production in 1978. The replacement program (E-7 Wedgetail) is years behind schedule and way over budget.

So Iran just destroyed an asset that:
1. Cannot be replaced at any price
2. Was one of only 31 in the entire fleet
3. Provides the situational awareness that makes every other air asset effective

Without AWACS coverage, you're flying blind. Your fighters don't know where the threats are. Your tankers don't know where to be. Your whole air war degrades.

And parking it at Prince Sultan Air Base within Iranian missile range was, as the thread noted early on, weapons-grade incompetence. We learned nothing from the drone age.

We have more E-3s and the NAVY uses the Hawkeye.
