Most people are either in denial or are so caught up in their day-to-day that they have no idea about the tsunami coming for the workplace. I have friends in the visual arts who honestly believe their jobs are secure. It's hard not to laugh at them when they talk like that. I am so glad I moved from production/creative over to installations. However, once the Teslabots become reasonably priced, installation work is fuqed as well. I guess when it comes down to it, we're all fuqed...

Fuq 'em. I saw this coming down the pike 30 years ago and got a trade. They laughed. The age where the bulk of the workforce can sit on their asses taking phone calls is ending and that's not a bad thing.

So, you flunked out of white collar work and are using hindsight bias to claim it was intentional.

What everyone is describing about white collar work may happen. I don’t deny that. But the outcome is not what you think it will be.  All these people that don’t have jobs will be paid a middle class salary to do nothing. That’s how much productivity gains will bring in excess cash.

It’s also foolish to think that trades can’t be replaced by automation as well.
