I've read where people say that he was reaching in his pocket to put his cell phone away. His gun had been taken away at this point. If he was putting his cell phone away in his pocket it would be justified for the officers to shoot him. You don't wait for the person to pull his hand out to see if he has a gun. You just shoot him.

He was murdered for trying to render aid to someone.

There are no excused at all.

We can disagree and quibble about the percentages.

I have seen people disarmed dozens of times.

99.99% of the time, the armed person is simply told to keep his hands away from his weapon and the weapon is simply removed.

The mob was probably 50% responsible. Pretti likely 35% responsible. And B.P.'s stressed officers probably 15% responsible.
