Don't forget that the US has military operations all over the world. Most of the US number is for maintaining forces in places like Asia, the Middle East, and off the coast of Venezuela.

And it also includes things like the DoD rebranding to DoW which cost over $100 million.

The real cost of Trump's antics will be the elimination of US weapons purchases by EU countries and Canada - no way will they continue to buy everything from the US.

I hope it does mean the end of NATO.  It's a totally outdated alliance that has lost its raison d'être.  The US needs to take Greenland, form a North American alliance (in name only - it would just be an formal declaration of the US's hegemony in the hemisphere), and tell the Eurotrash to get fuqed - we're tired of underwriting their social safety net while they ignore their own defense responsibilities. 

Europe is like a child that has failed to launch, and the end of NATO is just what it needs to awake from its decadence topor.

Europeans like to look down on Americans for not having free healthcare & free college & long vacations & paternity leave etc, but they can afford such social programs since they don’t have to do jack shyt for protection.

Their ancestors spent $$$$$$$$ building walled cities, walled castles, where the land barons offered protection from barbarians in exchange for their dues & loyalty & serfdom.

Now Europe welcomes the savages into their free social programs instead of pouring hot oil off the fortress.
They so scared & so mad at big Russia but don’t do jack shyt to build up a military presence or do jack shyt to repel the third world freeloaders.

Time for the US to leave NATO. They wouldn’t be able to help the US one iota if we called on NATO’s help. Look at how worthless they are for Ukraine, all they do is demand the US send money & weapons non stop.
