I had a new idea about weight loss.

When my belly feels full I should stop eating instead of eating everything I apportioned for myself.

It’s between 2000 and 2500 during the week. Can be more on the weekends. But even during the week I will sometimes eat beyond full because I haven’t eaten all the food I prepared. Honestly I can’t go overboard by extremes anymore. I can’t eat nearly as much as I once did. But I might eat an extra 300 calories just in order to finish what I made.

I have found that I don’t need as much food as I think I do.

For example:

Pizza for one (not a family size)
Cut it in half, eat one half.
Wait a few minutes.
Eat another quarter or stop?
Usually I stop.

I think a lot of us can relate. We eat beyond when we are full because we finish what we prepare and we prepare more than what we need. I think our fear is that I\we will suffer pain if we don't make enough and the pain I refer to is that of being hungry. So we make more than what we need in order to make sure we don't feel the pain of hunger that might occur after finishing our meal and not having enough.

Man. This is exactly how I feel. Any time I order out I always order too much because I fear not ordering enough. I’ve been getting better but it is still a real problem.
