It will take 30 minutes for a classroom of people to enter the building and get through security.
All because this was the least secure college on earth.

Of course, and it's not "theater" - if the doors had been locked and you needed an ID to get into the building, the murderer wouldn't have been able to shoot anyone.
The real question is, is all that security and the attendant hassle and cost worth it.

Every school I’ve been in that has a security incident slams down New Rules about not letting others in, signing in, etc., it lasts 3 weeks tops. Then the block of wood is back jamming the door open & everyone is happy.

I visited my sister at Cherry Point NC. She worked in supply as a civilian employee.
I went outside to smoke. I went out the back door.
There were 2 harrier pilots standing there smoking too.
I chatted them for a couple minutes and then they walked me over and let me sit in one of these jump jets.
Does that seem safe? I literally walked out the back door of a building and got into a jet just because I said it would be cool to sit in one.

This never, ever happened.
Almost no military pilot smokes - they're all jocks and have to be in exceptional shape to withstand the Gs.
Second, no officer is going to let you sit in his jet and risk you doing something to it

I can even tell you why it happened. My sister had big tits and all the pilots wanted a piece.
She didnt settle for a pilot though. She settled for a master gunnery sergeant.
Now, she just does california stuff.
