Indeed, I am planning more gardening work this coming week, sandwiching it with a week of appointments. Usual. NO RAIN coming until this weekend. Perfect timing for the garden beds!
BUT, TOMORROW, The window contractors are coming to replace 3 of the windows we deem most critical to get done - the LIVING ROOM, THE DINING ROOM and the kitchen. The living and dining windows are HUGE, designed on angles as display windows, and are originally single pane with a double pane retrofit probably done when the house was built. The KITCHEN window is a double pane CORNER window that gets cold, by the coffee maker, which is a first stop in the morning.
TODAY saw me taking off the blinds, and keeping them ready if we want to use them. Busy, busy.
By the end of THIS project, the house will be MUCH more insulated!

We have multiple huge windows set against each other at sharp angles so we can show off our shyt to an uncaring world.

As we continue to observe the struggles of the plucky specimen, we are reminded that Idaho winters can easily get down below minus twenty and the population density of the state is 22 per square mile.
