It's a great idea.  It's our own version of the El Salvador Superjail!

Get some value out of those protected resources.

Perfect!   It saves money.  You don't even have to shoot escapees, nor send back their remains - there won't BE ANY!!

Have any of you driven Alligator Alley?  There's nothing out there, but an Indian tribe with a gas station.

I have.  And honestly I don't even remember the gas station.  Just a car crash.  It's a straight shot across southern Florida.

There's a rest stop on either side of the alley.

The Miccosukee Tribe has a service plaza, complete with a Dunkin'

I totally believe you, the road is long enough and a station would get decent business.  I just don't recall it.

Tommy is no fan of the spics
He’d have them all locked in the Hicks
He’d shoot em on sight
Calls them a plight
And then beat them all day with sticks

Close. The gas station (and now a Miccosukee casino) are at exit 49, Snake Road. The rest areas on either side are run by the state, no fuel at those.

Good enough for Government work.  If you need gas, exit 49 is your only hope.

Send the NYC mayor candidate to Alligator Alley, then deport his ass back to Africa.

Re: Alligator Alcatraz ... I voted for this!

I found out about where the site actually is last night. It's not really near Alligator Alley, it's pretty far south of there, kind of in the middle of the state, off of 41/Tamiami Trail.

It was something that construction started on in the late 60's, it was going to be the largest airport in the world, able to handle thousands of the new SST's that were coming.

It ended up being the subject of what eventually became known as environmental impact studies. The project was stopped, and the single 2/3rd completed runway was left there, as it was determined that tearing it back out would be worse.

Up until about 20 years ago, it was used 24/7 as a training spot for jet pilots, where they could practice landing and takeoff techniques. Then simulators took over, and it was largely unused since, although it was perfectly legal for private pilots to fly in there too.

Is there a rail spur nearby?  Can that spur handle box cars?  One way, of course.

Oh yeah. lol It's 2 miles long. There were gonna be 6 3-mile long runways there and a mega highway where 41 is to run from Miami to Naples.

But at the moment, they are placing all the temporary prison buildings on the runway.

Perhaps DeSantis can get Musk's Boxabl to produce temporary prison buildings on the cheap?
Or...  can they drop shipping containers there?  No need for A/C.

I hope Freddy develops a taste for Dosa Belting & fine Indian cuisine as Homan marches on.
