Eric Clapton won a Grammy Award for his acoustic version of the song Layla.  The song was written by Jim Gordon who was the drummer in Clapton's band when they originally recorded the song, so he got a Grammy too.

At the time, Gordon was in prison for murdering his mother.  He is the first and only person to ever win a Grammy while in prison.
