Ted Cruz won in 2024 with +8.5%.  Trump won with a larger margin.  The statistics suggest the breakdown in 2024 was 38/26/37

The GOP’s massive smear campaign spending isn’t helping them:

Paxton is only winning the Senate race if his margin of victory over Talarico is more than one point.

Because if Paxton is winning over Talarico by less than a point, this will allow both the Dems and the Texas GOPe (who hate Paxton's guts) to cheat and have Talarico eke out a come from behind win.
