This isn't like one of Trump's civil suits, where he gets to drop it if the defense pursues discovery.  It's one thing to argue in front of a grand jury - where there is no defense present - that Hutchinson lied about January 6th.  It's another thing to have Hutchinson and her defense testify about January 6th in an open court room.
